The brief of this project has been generated using a brief generator, it was thus quite random and I had to create a publication for a non-human audience.
I decided to create this ‘pandora mission’ publication that is based on the idea of a ‘message from earth’ from the Voyager 1&2 + the pandora’s box myth. The content of the publication is based on a survey where people had to say 3 things that, in their opinion, describe humanity. I then translated these words into collages and created 2 publications — before and after the opening of pandora’s box — that are bound together and that you have to tear apart in order to open it (metaphor of the opening of the box). This publication acts like a warning to the aliens ‘don’t become like us’ but also as a catharsis for the human audience that is going to experience it as well.
